I just hope the editor can handle what we have planned though.. Although, from what they've shown us, I don't think we need to worry about that...

I just hope the editor can handle what we have planned though.. Although, from what they've shown us, I don't think we need to worry about that... I'm not so much worried about what the editor can handle as I am about how we can make use of its potential. The editor can make amazing things....expansions, stories....even games. The more relevant question is can we?

If the Editor supports it(and I see no reason why it shouldn't), at a point closer to the beginning, I want the zone quest to branch into two.. And if the players want to, they can each tackle one branch individually.. Or tackle them one after the other, if they so choose...
Towards the end, we'll have to combine the two branches together, though.. Or possibly make it so that you don't have to combine both branches to finish the quest.. Each branch will finish the quest in it's own way at the end.. And have different endings if the branches are done together or individually.. And have choices from both branches integrated into ending as well..

I like idea of undead town. Or maybe undead organization. I will help with it if i can I'm more into drawing or level iteration, dialog discussing So undead town: This town was there before, or was build by undead? Undead citizens were living breathing humans of this town before? Why they are undead? I remember from Divinity 2 that there was something called natural undead. I wonder HOW. Atmosphere of a town, how it feel to be among dead. And so on and on

Well, the reason behind the existence of the Undead Town will have to be found out by the player(if they're interested.. :-).. It will be a side quest).
But I'm kind of leaning towards it being a curse, of some sort, from centuries past.. The humans of the town fell under a curse.. When they died.. They turned into Undead.. They were able to reproduce like normal humans, but they were always Undead..

I came up with an idea like that.
Town is under a spell, life force from citizens is slowly taken from them, so they became undead. As it's not first generation of them born under a spell, some of them don't remember how it came that they are what they are now. Their lifespawn is longer than any normal human being (as normal as skeleton may be) but it not always been like that.
First generation of town citizens is of course the oldest, but now very spare in number, as most of them are now Watchers of Whispers Tombs, or their inhabitants. Tombs are place where citizens that are tired of their life go to rest, whisper to the stone and forget. Sometimes die and turn to dust. Opposed to Watchers are [insert name] Organization that are mostly composed of young citizens, that have no idea why they came up to what they are now. And they want to find out. They want again to be humans. But if they oppose, or rebel they cease their undead life, so they do it in secret.
And third party: Necromancer. Only the oldest citizens remember existance of necromancer, as he put their town into spell. And he done this with agreement of town people. Long time ago they travelled together, been cast out from their home. Probably for sympathizing with our bone favoring mage. So, they found a place to build up a town in secret. But a tragedy happen to travel in doubles, as necromancer son fall ill, and he can't cure him. So in order to find a cure he came up with agreement that he put a spell on town, in exchange for life force it put up his son into sleep and stops him from growing and his disease to develop further. But no one in town will tell you this story, you need to work hard to find the truth.
How you find this town? You follow up a girl you spot in wild, it normal human kid in age about 11 years old (or younger, i don't know yet). She live up in undead town for couple of years already.

ailantan it's better if the girl is scripted (you are following) to pass through walls just to spook you out and with a frightening sfx when it happens for the atmosphere. I like the idea about the first generation sleeping in their crypt because of being tired in the world. Kind of reminds me of the Underworld movie. I also suggest a sidequest about tiyanaks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiyanak) since the reproducing part of undead was brought up. I really can't imagine how.... with their skin being torn apart while doing it.. haha Since it's an undead town, how about making a parody of casper the friendly ghost? Making another sidequest with a ghost's life long dream to become a human and only to find out that being a ghost is better than being a human.
